Makers' Shopfront was founded by Shelley Pisani, a practicing artist and artsworker with a variety of experience as an exhibiting artist, studio artist and small business owner.
Over the last three years Shelley has developed and tested a program to assist artists to harness their inner entrepreneur.

Shelley Pisani
Founder, Presenter and Business Coach
My name is Shelley Pisani and I am so excited to be delivering Makers' Shopfront and working with inspiring artists and makers.
I have 27 years of experience in the arts industry from studio artist to gallery director, curator and consultant.
I have a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Master of Arts and Entertainment Management as my academic background. This has led me to mentoring regional artists and leading industry skill development - something that gives me great joy asI see artists grow in confidence and build opportunities.
I am so grateful to have a career that allows me to be a practicing artist whilst supporting communities and other artists to reach their full potential through the arts.


Katie Whyte
Contracted Presenter
My name is Katie Whyte, and I am a practicing visual artist and contributor to Makers’ Shopfront workshop programs.
I am passionate about research and producing workshops to promote strategic thinking amongst visual artists. I have a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) from the University of Southern Queensland and Certificate 3 in Library and Information Services.
As an artist I am most known for my bold colours and abstract shapes in the form of murals, original paintings and brand collaborations. Previous clients include WeWork, CoSpaces Southport, Jericho Road Clothing, First Coat International Street Art Festival, Grand Central Shopping Centre, Toowoomba Regional Council and the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.
