I have always loved playing with textiles and textures, right back to the time when, at around 10 years old, I created clothes for my precious Barbie doll. My knitting, crocheting, and sewing skills were honed through the support of my nanna and mother.

I discovered the rich beauty and history of Japanese textiles about ten years ago. I create unique pieces of homewares, clothing, and accessories by upcycling Japanese vintage textiles. Over the last year, my collection has included the traditional stitch-created textile of boro as well as introducing sashiko on indigo textiles, another Japanese art tradition.

Textiles with a history.
